Michael Appel

Mr. Appel is Chairman/Interim CEO of Rue21, Inc. He is the Founder and President of Appel Associates, which provides performance improvement, turnaround management and restructuring consulting services to retail and consumer goods companies.

He formerly was the Chairman of the Board of Loehmann’s Holdings Inc.  Previously, he served as Interim CEO of Baccarat Crystal, Caswell-Massey, Laura Ashley and MacKenzie Childs in helping to stabilize and turn around these businesses. He serves on the National Board of the Turnaround Management Association.

Maxine Clark

Ms. Clark is the Founder and former Chairman and CEO of Build-A-Bear Workshop (NYSE: BBW). Previously, she served as President of Payless ShoeSource (NYSE: PSS). She currently serves on the board of directors for Build-A-Bear Workshop (NYSE: BBW), Footlocker (NYSE: FL), PBS and Teach For America.

Steven Douglass

Mr. Douglass is the former Chairman of the Board and CEO of Payless Shoe Source, Inc. (NYSE: PSS). Previously, he held several positions at divisions of The May Department Stores Company, including Chairman of May Company, Ohio and SVP and CFO of J.W. Robinsons.

Ms. Engel is the former Chief Executive Officer of Lenox/Portero Luxury.  Previously, she was Chairman and CEO of Lenox/Department 56 and President and CEO of Champion Products.

Mr. Glick is the Founder, former CEO and Chairman of Dots, LLC, a women’s apparel specialty chain offering fashion trends at exceptional prices. The company was sold to Irving Place Capital, a leading middle-market private equity firm, in January, 2011.

(NYSE: FL), President and Chief Merchandising Officer of JCPenney (NYSE: JCP), President of Payless Shoe Source, Inc., EVP/GMM for the Home Shopping Network (NYSE: HSN) and SVP/GMM for May Department Stores.

Paul Hill

Mr. Hill is CEO of P.J. Hill and Associates, a Consulting and Board advisory practice for companies specializing in growth strategies, productivity improvement and transformational change. Previously he was the EVP of Supply Chain and Operations for Philosophy Cosmetics and Yankee Candle Co. Mr. Hill was also the Supply Chain Director and Sr. Plant Manager for Kraft Foods, in charge of some of their largest manufacturing facilities.

Stan Leibowitz

Mr. Leibowitz is President and CEO of the Park Highland Group, a professional services firm consulting to the direct marketing industry. Previously, he served as COO/EVP of Victoria’s Secret Direct and EVP and COO of Neiman Marcus Direct. He spent many years at Spiegel where he headed business development.

Steven Lumpkin

Mr. Lumpkin is the former CFO, head of corporate strategy and director of Applebee’s International, Inc. Previously, he served as CFO/CIO and a director of Kimberly Quality Care, the country’s largest provider of home health services, and as a management consulting partner for Price Waterhouse & Co.

Margaret Mager

Ms. Mager is currently a Board Director at off-price retailer Gabe’s, owned by Warburg Pincus. Previously a Managing Director and business unit leader in Goldman Sachs’ equity research department, she has more than 25 years of experience in financial services, consulting, and strategic communications as well as in the global apparel, footwear, accessories, handbags, sporting goods, luxury goods, retail, and textile industries.  During her years on Wall Street she led numerous high-profile consumer IPO’s including Ralph Lauren, Coach, J.Crew, Columbia Sportswear, Underarmour, Lululemon, and Maidenform, among others.

Kathleen Mason

Ms. Mason is the former President and CEO of Tuesday Morning (NASDAQ: TUES). Previously, she was President of Filene’s Basement and also President of HomeGoods, Inc., a subsidiary of TJX Companies (NYSE: TJX).

Nancy Pedot

Dan Sweeney

Dr. Sweeney is an independent business consultant and founder of the Center for Corporate Change. Dr. Sweeney is also a member of the faculty of the University of Denver where he teaches courses on marketing and leadership. He previously was Vice President – Global Consulting/Distribution Industries for IBM and the Chairman of Management Horizons, a well-known consulting firm that specialized in the retail industry.
