Richard Baum

Managing Partner

Richard is the Managing Partner of Consumer Growth Partners (CGP), a private equity investment firm with an exclusive focus on investing in middle-market specialty retail and non-perishable branded consumer products companies. He also is a Partner in the advisory firm Founder Solutions ( that provides strategic and operational advisory services to a similar group of companies that have a transaction in their future but for a variety of reasons may not be ready to take in equity capital at the present time.

Mr. Baum currently serves as President of the Retail Marketing Society, a not-for-profit organization that focuses on bringing leading edge topics of interest to the broad retail community via monthly webinars. He also serves as a Board Director for Chair King/Fortunoff Backyard Stores, Factory Connection, Inc., Rolla Coster Inc., and Southern Grace Clothing Company.  He served as a board director of Vera Bradley, Inc. (NASDAQ:  VRA) for nine years before stepping down in 2020. 

Prior to co-founding CGP in 2005, Mr. Baum spent more than fifteen years as a sell-side equity research analyst at Sanford Bernstein, Goldman Sachs and Credit Suisse where he was consistently ranked among the industry leaders in the annual Institutional Investor and Greenwich Associates polls.  Previously, Mr. Baum spent six years in the merchandising organization at Bloomingdale’s and began his career as a strategy consultant with The Boston Consulting Group.

Mr. Baum earned a BA degree in Economics from the University of Michigan where he graduated magna cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa honors and a JD degree from Harvard Law School.  Mr. Baum lives in a suburb of New York City with his wife Robin.  He is the proud father of two young men, Zachary an attorney in Washington, DC and Ross a musical theatre composer and songwriter in New York City and Los Angeles.

Dale Dewey


Dale is a serial entrepreneur and founder of four companies. He has advised many of the world’s most prestigious companies including Chanel, Estee Lauder, L’Oreal, Procter & Gamble and NetJets. He began his career in marketing at Colgate-Palmolive and worked for 10 years in Europe in the fragrance industry. He founded Fragrance Solutions, a market research firm serving prestige fine fragrance clients that he sold to the NPD Group. He acquired a fashion business which he sold to Kate Spade. He was the co-founder of venture backed that formed a joint venture with Ulta and a marketing partnership with P&G. He also served as CEO in the US of two French luxury companies – Fauchon, and Christofle. He currently serves on the board of Resource Furniture.

Anthony Robins


Anthony has extensive experience in global retail, luxury and consumer branded businesses serving in executive, consulting and advisory roles. He has lived in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific working with top-tier global brands such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, DFS, Ralph Lauren and Tiffany & Co. As an architect with real estate, branding and business development expertise, he also founded a company responsible for the design and construction of award winning and widely published luxury boutiques, shopping centers, hotels, offices and private residences. Clients included Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Dior, Ralph Lauren, and Asprey. Anthony currently serves as chairman of the board of Tala, a UK based sustainable lighting company and also serves on the boards of several luxury goods, retail and home furnishings companies.
